All puppies are sold with pedigreed papers and a health guarantee. The puppy will have docked tails and dewclaws removed. Puppies will be wormed starting at 4 weeks of age and worming will be continued every two weeks until the puppy reaches 8 weeks of age. The puppy will receive its first 5-way vaccination at 8 weeks of age. Pups will be litter box trained which helps with potty training when you bring your pup home.

No, when I first started out breeding, AKC was not recognizing Shorty Jacks, and each state to my understanding was running its own registry. Some of my dogs are NKC registered, most are EJRT, and a couple are now AKC registered. With all the confusion and different registries, I have chosen to not register my pups.
-
Absolutely! Just because they are not AKC or NKC registered doesn’t mean they are not pure. All of my dogs are pedigreed with papers going back as far as 6 - 8 generations.

Pups will need their 2nd and 3rd shot, ask your vet what schedule they would like to put your pup on. I vaccinate 2nd shot on the 12th week and 3rd shot on the 16th week. Avoid giving their beginning shots with Lepto. The Jacks have a tendency to react to shots with lepto. Ask your vet when they suggest giving rabies and when to start the pup on heartworm. Pups need to be protected from exposure to parvo. Parvo is transferred from feces and lives in the soil for many years. Avoid setting your new pup down in rest areas, dog parks, or any other public places until the pup has received all 3 vaccinations.

Shipping/delivery charges are extra. When flying a puppy in cargo: a crate is required as well as a current health certificate. If direct flights are not available, I do not ship. Weather can be an issue and will determine if shipping is possible. Because I teach, delivery is rarely an option. Ground transportation is another option but will need to be arranged by the buyer. I prefer you pick up pup in person. I love to meet the pup’s new family.
-
I would strongly encourage crate training your pup in the beginning. There is usually always a time when your jack will need to be crated, it’s nice when they have been trained early on. It also helps with potty training.
-
Not a deal breaker but a good idea for your new pup. I find if they are not allowed to go outside on their own, they become little “caged lions”, which can become a problem for the new family. Jacks are much happier when they can run around and explore on their own.

Right away! Lots of socializing can be done at home. After the final 3rd puppy shot get them out into the public. Consider signing them up for puppy classes.

I feed Purina Proplan puppy. Avoid giving any rawhide chews. “Oinkies” are a great alternative and are easily digested and stops them from chewing on other things.
